Role summary
Responsible for day-to-day operational management and administration of patient drug therapies and patient treatment plans in coordination with physicians and medical staff to ensure optimal medication therapies are provided. May make recommendations for individualized therapies where appropriate. Manages the allocation of resources including financial, staffing, and equipment in a safe and cost effective manner. Provides management oversight to clinical pharmacy staff and evaluates and assures their professional competency. Manages performance improvement activities within the departments, on an ongoing basis. Typical Qualifications: Bachelor of Science with a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred and registration with the State Board. Experience as a Pharmacist including management experience.
